Remarks: |
The second
edition of this pamphlet omitted “A Galahad in Gomorrah”.
This
piece is a review of an 1896 volume of verse by Lord Alfred
Douglas and T.W.H. Crosland’s “The First Stone” which was
a scathing response in poetry to parts of Oscar Wilde’s “De Profundis” before it was published. This piece is in defense of
Oscar Wilde but was omitted in the second edition because it was
considered libellous. |
